Registration and Settling In
Settling Into Nursery
We aim to make your child's induction to the setting as smooth and happy as possible for both you and your little one. We create a home from home environment and prioritise strong bonds between your child and their key person in order to ensure they are comfortable throughout each and every session here at Three Bears.
We encourage around 3 settling visits for your child, although we understand that every child is different and therefore will adapt this to every individual case. we can add on however many more visits you and your child need to be comfortable within the nursery.
Visits (how it generally goes):
1- the 'all about me', during the first visit yourself(selves) and your child will come in for around 30-45minutes to play and introduce your child to the practitioners working with your child, and their key person. We get to know as much about your child from you as possible during this visit; their likes, dislikes, personality, home routine, any first/ additional/ dual languages, what they can already do physically etc, a bit about their communication and language, and as much more as you can tell us.
2- we then offer further visits of an hour, two hours and a free half day where you will leave your child to settle with us and get used to their new surroundings for short periods of time, we can add more visits if required and adapt our procedure to suit the individual child's needs.
